Located within the 1920’s Peyser Building and former location of the Security Savings and Commercial Bank, Peyser’s restaurant and residences provide an exclusive environment for urban life, work and play. The restaurant and bar offer a sophisticated nightlife hotspot for any business rendezvous, while concierge residences feature an inviting, conveniently furnished home away from home for the contemporary executive.
Artistic minded design focuses on juxtaposing the whimsical frivolity and economic boom of the roaring 20s era original to the building, with luxurious contemporary elegance. This is accomplished by mixing unexpected materials, sleek furnishings, and opulent finishes throughout. The cohesive use of color, and texture is creatively contrasted with playful pattern and scale.
This project served as my interior design capstone project, and was accomplished over two semesters of research, and design synthesis. Final deliverables included exterior elevations, floor plans, interior elevation details, interior perspectives, reflected ceiling plans, and section elevations, as well as a full-scale marketing plan for the project. A bound, thesis-type project book was also developed to document the process.
